Gabriel Ureña has performed as a soloist with the London City Orchestra, Oviedo Philharmonic and Arteus Orquesta and in prestigious international venues such as the Musikverein (Vienna), Theater of the Champs Elysees (Paris), Seoul Arts Center, National Auditorium of Music (Madrid), Palau de la Música (Barcelona) and the Teatro de la Maestranza (Seville).
He has shared the stage with artists such as Leo Nucci, Edita Gruberová, Ainhoa Arteta, Ruggero Raimondi, Anna Netrebko, Ilya Gringolts, Benjamin Schmid, the Labèque sisters, Natalia Gutman and Midori, and is the First Prize Winner of the Cello Competition of Arquillos (Jaén) and the International Chamber Music Competition "City of Manresa”.
Among the most recent milestones of his career are the publication of his first CD for the label Aria Classics, with works by Prokofiev, Shostakovich and Rachmaninov, with the pianist Patxi Aizpiri, his solo appearance with the Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra and his debut with the Colombian National Orchestra at the Teatro Colón in Bogotá.
