Liana Gourdjia, a violinist born in Moscow, trained first at the Tchaikovsky State Conservatory and later in Cleveland and at the Indiana University in Bloomington, where she studied with Jaime Laredo. She was a three-year fellow at the prestigious Marlboro Music Festival, collaborating there with masters such as Mitsuko Uchida and Leon Fleisher. She has shared the stage with Martha Argerich and Misha Maisky, and has developed creative projects with the violinist Tcha Limberger, exploring new languages between the classical and the traditional. Among her recordings, the album dedicated to Stravinsky with pianist Katia Skanavi and the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie stands out, as well as the Charles Ives Sonatas, recorded with pianist Matan Porat. Recognized for her versatility and artistic depth, Gourdjia has established herself as a singular voice on the international scene.

Liana Gourdjia is a violin professor at Musikene, Conservatory of Music of the Basque Country. She also teaches at the École Normale de Musique “Alfred Cortot” in Paris. Liana Gourdjia is part of the artistic and academic team of JONDE as a guest professor for its chamber-music program.
