Tenor Nils Georg Nilsen debuted at the Lincoln Center in New York after receiving his Master of Music from Manhattan School of Music in 2012.
Since then he has appeared as a soloist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, at the Israeli Opera, the Norwegian Opera House and Opera Tampa in Florida, and performed in several international festivals and concerts in Europe and the US. Nils Georg has won the Solveig’s Award in the Edvard Grieg Competition, the Audience Award during the festival LidalNorth on numerous occasions, and the Youth Music Competition in Norway.
In addition to being professor of Voice at the Galamian International Accademy in Malaga, Nils Georg is a sought-after tenor, and recent highlights include Mozart Requiem with the Norwegian Radio Orchestra, Rossinis Stabat Mater and Handels Messiah with Drammen Symphony Orchestra and performances at the Ravinia Festival in the US. Since 2021 he is part of the vocal group Nordic Tenors, together with the tenors Jan-Tore Saltnes and Roald Haarr.
