The title of this program is the best explanation that can be made about it. “The sound of America”, the sound of chamber music resulting from a cultural melting pot, which was and is the United States.

Amy Beach’s beautiful melodies, Barber’s sensitivity, the musical revolution of Ives or the bravery of Corigliano, will take the spotlight in a concert that shows the birth and development of something new, built atop of preexisting monuments of the native and European cultures.
